Etiquette is constantly evolving, based on logic, practice, good tone and convenience. It extends to the sphere of the Internet, because smartphones and computers have become an integral part of our lives. But what are the rules of communication on the Internet?

How to properly conduct correspondence: moments that are better to avoid

Surprisingly, but the lack of tact can be broadcast even through a smartphone. With your interlocutor, try to be correct and rational, show respect for him and for his time.
What not to do:

  1. Abuse voice messages. Think about the recipient’s comfort: it may be inconvenient to spend time listening to lengthy texts
  2. Smileys – refrain from them in business communication, because they may be inappropriate in serious correspondence.
  3. Do not send a lot of individual messages. Each of them will be accompanied by a notice and will attract attention. Formulate your thoughts into one short informative text, save your interlocutor’s time.
  4. Messengers are rapidly gaining popularity in our lives. Call or message? A polite person will prefer a message so as not to intrude on personal boundaries – and a call can already be considered as such. By using messenger, you give the person you’re talking to time to think about it and make a considered response.
  5. Adding to groups without the participant’s consent. If this happens, it immediately gives the impression of being intrusive. By getting the person’s permission to be included, you will create a businesslike, positive attitude.
  6. When communicating online, avoid abbreviations, diminutive suffixes, and jargon.

Another important point: in social media, people often get right down to business, omitting the greeting. Of course, this saves time and allows you to get straight to the point. I would recommend not to exclude the word “Hello”, because any message first of all speaks about you, about your level of education and upbringing.

Self-Presentation

Pay attention to how your profile looks like in business correspondence, what kind of photo and e-mail address the interlocutor will see. Photos in a swimsuit and affectionate nicknames are not always appropriate. They may cause the person you are talking to to take you lightly, for example, when it comes to a business proposal and cooperation.

You can create a separate profile for work, where you can communicate with colleagues, partners, and employees. This is even more convenient than having business and informal communication through one account. This way you can always switch between your work and personal life, and not be distracted by work during your leisure hours – and vice versa. When you’re waiting for an important message from a business partner during the day, notifications from personal chats can be very distracting.

By taking care of your interlocutor’s comfort and personal boundaries, you can easily handle any situation, because etiquette is always about comfort and mutual respect.

When talking about energy practices, many people ask: “What is it? Rituals with candles in shamanic robes?”. People often associate this concept with mysticism and esotericism. However, in fact, this is the name of a set of spiritual practices aimed at working with inner energy. Veronica Kim – energy coach, reiki practitioner, author of meditations – tells us why they arouse such interest and how they work on a person.

The main goal of the technique is to achieve harmony and balance of energies within oneself for further spiritual development and self-improvement. It involves working with sensations and is aimed at increasing sensitivity. The result of such practices is the awakening of one’s own basic attunements and healing of the body.

All these processes occur through relaxation and start with the brain. Due to the huge amount of information, stress, fears and irritation arise – clamps appear in the body, which grow into blocks. There is poor circulation of energy in such places. During the practices a person learns to concentrate attention on the problem areas and to influence the overstressed areas.

If you notice that you are immersed in the routine of the day, and you are spinning like a squirrel in a wheel, not noticing reality and the present moment, then this practice is your ideal solution! It is a great release from the daily series of thoughts and worries in your head: “Taking care of the kids”, “How to spend the weekend?”, “Don’t forget to feed the dog!” and so on. Meditation will help you come back to the present moment.

Many people have heard of reiki practices, qigong, and other ancient techniques that can be officially used on a medical facility basis. They are very popular and widely used in different countries.

For a long time it was not customary to talk about what is still poorly understood, and even today people often avoid the topic of energy management. They try to avoid everything that cannot be touched and seen with their own eyes, that does not have an instant effect. It is as if the mind shuns uncomfortable questions. However, everyone is interested to know what potential is hidden in their body, what else the body in conjunction with the subconscious mind is capable of.

In any treatment of the body, it is important to do no harm. If a person has little evidence based on scientific research, they have fears and doubts. Today everything is freely available: articles on the benefits of meditation, on how you can work with psychosomatics.

Meditation is the best way to connect with your body and mind, to free yourself from the endless stream of information in your head.

People pass through an incredible amount of pictures and texts, videos and photos in a day, from which it is difficult to extract something really necessary. The result is emotional disorders, aggression, FOMO (fear of missing out) and the feeling that you don’t have time to live. Meditation helps you get your head in order and get a quality discharge in just 5 minutes a day. The whole body relaxes during the practice, which helps to relieve nervous tension.

The Diderot Effect, a concept first described by the French philosopher Denis Diderot in the 18th century, refers to the phenomenon where the purchase of one new item leads to a chain reaction of purchases of other items that previously did not seem necessary.

The Diderot Effect is an amazing process that causes us to become immersed in a world of purchases and emotions. As soon as we purchase something new, a sense of joy and pleasure overwhelms us, making us strive for even more. It’s like an endless cycle in which we are constantly looking for new things to fulfill our wants and needs. At some point it may seem that harmony has been achieved, but then it turns out that something is missing again.

This chain reaction usually leads us to spend more money than we planned and accumulate unnecessary things. But this same pattern of behavior can also be a source of inspiration and joy – we get the opportunity to create unique looks, experiment with different styles and express our individuality. However, we should be careful not to become slaves to our desires and lose touch with reality.

Marketing gimmicks amplify this maelstrom of emotions. Advertisements, discounts, promotions – they all play on our senses, making us want things we never thought of before. Sometimes it seems that our minds are blinded by the glitter of new products, and we are ready to run after them like a beckoning light. We are influenced by brightly colored signs, beautiful packaging, and persuasive words from salespeople. But in that moment, we miss our real needs and wants and start striving for what has been imposed on us. This can lead to unnecessary spending, frustration and even debt.

However, despite all the risks, we continue to make impulse purchases. Perhaps it is because we want to feel happy and satisfied, to please ourselves with something new and unusual. We want to express our individuality and emphasize our status.

However, impulse purchases can have negative consequences. They cause stress, guilt and regret, lead to financial difficulties and debts. Therefore, you should learn to control your emotions and make informed purchasing decisions.

Social pressure also plays a role. After all, when you already have something good, why not go further and get something even better?

Sometimes we fall victim to our own weakness – a lack of self-control. Emotions, stress, instant gratification – all of these can lead us to make an impulsive purchase.

In the end, the Diderot Effect reminds us of the importance of awareness and reflection before every purchase. And here are some specific actions you can take:

Provocative psychology is an unconventional approach in psychotherapy that uses humor, exaggeration and challenge to help clients become aware of their maladaptive behaviors and change them.

The creator of the unique method is the American psychotherapist Frank Farelli, one of the pioneers of coaching, who tried to show the client that there is already nothing wrong with him/her and he/she has the power of choice and agency on a daily basis. Clients who attended a session with Farelli claimed that “it lasted no more than 20 minutes at a time”, “each session is unique in its own way, as the subtle humor of the master is like a game of ping-pong”, and the client’s problem “deflates like a balloon”.

There is a perception that provocative psychotherapy is similar to NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), but they are different approaches, although many NLP practitioners draw from provocative psychotherapy.

A session with a provocative psychologist may resemble a dialog between two longtime acquaintances, where both are laughing about some topic that is of little importance to both of them – this is one way of working. The second option is when the client gets to know his or her triggers and releases strong negative emotions to the outside world.

Before you turn to such a specialist, you should realize that this method is extremely peculiar. Specialists in this field have a great sense of humor and do not have a single drop of pity for their clients, because they understand that the responsibility lies first and foremost on the person himself.

Provocative therapy sessions can even make you angry, upset or tearful, but that’s the beauty of the method. As soon as a person gets emotional, it means that the vector is chosen correctly, and it is possible to get quick results.

Triggers are anchors for growth, and it is provocative psychotherapy that pulls them out instantly.

With all of the above in mind, it is important to remember that one thing suits some people, and another thing suits others, and people also develop in different ways.

A provocative approach can be an alternative if other methods have not brought the desired results.

However, it is worth paying attention to the following: of course, not every method is suitable for absolutely everyone, but it often happens that the client shifts the responsibility to the specialist and the approach itself. This can be found almost everywhere: “This is exactly what will help me!”.

Provocative psychotherapy, on the other hand, very easily and quickly gives the client full responsibility for his life and his decisions; it only helps him to find a new path.

What is japandi style

Japandi is a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese design. It combines elements of Japanese art, wabi-sabi philosophy, as well as Scandinavian comfort and hügge. It would seem, what can two different styles have in common? The thing is that Japanese and Scandinavian interiors are related by their focus on simplicity, abundance of natural elements, comfort and environmental friendliness.

This should not be confused with either Scandinavian style or wabi-sabi. The first is not so minimalistic, and the second does not assume such an abundance of decor. To better understand what the peculiarity of the japandi style is, we suggest you learn how to create it in your own apartment.

How to create an interior in the japandi style

The basis of the color palette in the style of japandi should be chosen in neutral-light shades. The best way to fit into such interiors are pebble tones – white, cream, gray. However, in some cases you can bet on darker and even earthy shades, but they should be in the natural range – green and brown look best.

Bet on furniture with clean lines. Remember that minimalism does not always look boring. A sculptural table, a curved floor lamp – all this can fit into your interior, but the shapes should not be too complicated. Wood, stone, rattan – all these materials are best to make the furniture look appropriate in japandi style.

Things get more complicated in this aspect, as you will have to maneuver between Japanese and Scandinavian styles. We advise you to make a choice depending on your own preferences. Japanese interior assumes a small amount of decor – and the whole from should be symbolic. And do not forget that for the inhabitants of the Land of the Rising Sun the most fundamental issue is the question of cleanliness. Try to arrange the space so that it was convenient to clean.

But Scandinavians pay much more attention to decor. Firstly, in Scandinavian interiors are supposed to be a lot of textiles made of natural materials. It is he who makes the space more cozy. Secondly, it is the decor that gives your space a unique zest. So don’t be afraid to use brighter pillows, plaids, vases or other interesting elements.

Depending on whether you want to create a more cozy or relaxed space, maneuver between these two styles. Neither will be unnecessary for a japandi. Another aspect you shouldn’t forget about: plants. The more greenery you have, the better. Eco-friendliness and love for nature are at the heart of both interior styles, so feel free to use plants as decor.

Old money style continues to dictate trends. Of course, in summer-2024 not every girl dreams of turning into an aristocrat, as it was last season. However, visually expensive images are still to the liking of many fashionistas. The ideal shoes for such outfits are mules. Let’s find out how to choose those among the variety of trendy models.

Most often rich aristocrats stop at pairs with a closed toe. By the way, the images of old money – the only ones that are still appropriate pairs with a rounded toe. They remind the cult slingbacks Chanel, which for many years do not go out of fashion. Of course, trendy models with a sharp front are also relevant. However, it should not be grotesquely elongated. If you like shaped solutions, favor rectangular socks that refer to the shape of loafers.

The images of aristocrats do not do without pairs of heels. Even if you wear extremely comfortable shoes, the sole should still not be flat. The optimal solution is sophisticated kitten heels or “shot glasses”. Stilettoes are also not the best option, shoes with them can look too vulgar.

Carefully consider the choice of material. Of course, the best option is dense leather. “Expensive” looks both smooth and with a large crocodile or snake texture. But remember that in the second case the shoes must necessarily be monochrome. Suede pairs are also suitable, but they look elegant only in light colors. But you should definitely refuse from trendy satin or denim mules.

Most often, shoes in the style of old money remains without decoration. There are few exceptions to this rule: color-block style solutions with contrasting toe and pairs with large “vintage” buckles on the front part. Contrary to stereotypes, old-money models don’t necessarily have to be white or black. Choose pairs in any appropriate visually expensive shade.

In summer, linen becomes the favorite material of fashionistas. And if shorts or tops made of this fabric are not so easy to integrate into the closet – there are strict rules of stylization of such things, then natural dresses are a real salvation in sultry days. You can create an image with them in five minutes, and then feel comfortable all day thanks to the properties of the material. Flax perfectly transmits air. Let’s see how to choose the perfect option for the warm months.

The main rule – the style should not be tight. Flax does not stretch well, so such a product is unlikely to sit on the figure. If you want to emphasize the curves, choose fitted options with a flared hem. Another solution – shirt dresses. In the linen version of such models with buttons look especially elegant. But relaxed straight things are also suitable. With the design you can play as much as you want: let the dress be decorated with dropped shoulders, slits in the waist or along the leg.

The color of such a thing is easy to choose. Flax is beautiful in any shade, even if you decide to stop at an uncolored gray version or basic white and black. At the same time, colored material is no less spectacular: attention deserves bright pink, tangerine or scarlet dresses. But trendy pastel shades look especially noble on linen, for example, delicate mint or melted butter tone.

But linen has its disadvantages. Due to the fact that it is a rather rough fabric, delicate trendy decor in the form of flounces or ruffles does not harmonize with it. If you still do not want to give up things in infantile style, pay attention to products with white lace ruffles and inserts. But there are no other restrictions: feel free to buy clothes with voluminous appliqués or intertwined straps. You can give your imagination space when choosing prints: floral, animalistic and abstract patterns look great on this fabric.

Summer is traditionally considered the season of sandals and sandals. But what about those who do not like to expose their feet, do not want to demonstrate pedicure in public or want to save the delicate skin? Many people think that in such cases will necessarily have to endure discomfort. But this is not the case at all. We have collected a selection of five closed models, which will definitely not be hot.

Ballet flats
Ballets remain relevant for the second warm season in a row. But the matter, of course, not only in the fashion component. Properly selected shoes allow you to feel comfortable throughout the day. So that the feet were definitely not hot, it is better to prefer textile solutions, for example, denim. And the best way to cope with the heat are trendy mesh options.

Mary Jane shoes
Mary Jane shoes are considered one of the main trends of summer. Due to the fact that in such shoes the upper part of the foot remains open, it is not hot even on sultry days. If leather or suede versions seem too dense, they can be replaced by lighter models with an actual satin coating.

Fishing sandals
Because of the popularity of fisherman sandals, there are many variations of this pair in boutiques. One of them is with a weave that forms a closed toe. However, there is still space between the leather jumpers, so such pairs perfectly let air pass through without trapping heat inside.

Closed-toe mules
A compromise solution can be mules with a closed toe. Such shoes expose only the heel, but due to this detail, the air easily penetrates inside the shoe and allows you not to feel discomfort in the heat. Unlike slingbacks, mules leave the back of the foot free, so the air circulates better.

Slingbacks with closed forefoot
You don’t have to give up on slingbacks either. Pairs with a closed toe are suitable for those who need to fix the foot. In this case, it is provided by a thin strap on the heel. It is unlikely that you will feel a significant difference with mules, but you will definitely be comfortable.

In recent years, the prefix “kargo” has been added to almost everything. Pants and skirts with voluminous pockets remained among the top trends for a long time, with this decoration appearing on vests, jackets and even shoes. However, by the 2024th obsession has passed, and once popular pairs with such a design are now more a familiar part of the closet than a bright trend. But still, large pockets have not disappeared without a trace. They are back in fashion, but only in a new incarnation – this summer every fashionista needs a cargo bag.

Especially popular in this warm season will be small cargo bags. Such models play on the contrast: to the accessories of medium and micro size are sewn capacious pockets, which cover almost the whole product. We saw such solutions at Acne Studios shows.

Both variants with the usual two pockets on one side and with a lot of small but voluminous details placed on top of each other are topical. An example can be found in the spring-summer line of Fendi. It is worth looking at accessories with similar decorations on narrow sides – such models appeared in the collections of Miu Miu and Acne Studios. Toots are not without pockets, either – they should have wide and long overlapping elements, like Max Mara bags.

Pockets don’t have to be the only decorative element of a bag. They can be complemented by “flirty” details – for example, bows, as we saw on accessories from the spring-summer collection of Acne Studios. Solutions with contrasting stitching are also trendy.

Textured leather models, variants with prints – checkered or with the brand’s logo, as well as accessories in bright colors – are also on trend.

Sporty style has captured the hearts of fashionistas this season. Among the main trends of the summer aesthetics blokecore and tenniscore, images in which assume training things. Of course, not everyone will dare to wear boxer shorts or jersey. But there are also less “binding” clothes, which will help to easily compose an actual look – we are talking about things with a polo collar. Let’s find out how to choose them.

The easiest way to integrate fashion aesthetics into your closet is to buy a T-shirt with a lapel collar. Both a tight-fitting model and a spacious one will do. But carefully choose the length in the second case: it is better to stop either on shortened, or on lengthened versions. Products up to the upper point of the pelvic bone are very likely to violate the proportions of the figure and make you larger.

If we talk about dresses, then such a collar looks organically on minis with a pleated skirt, like tennis players, and on models of a straight cut, reaching up to the middle of the thigh. It is important that the outfits were not deliberately feminine. Otherwise, the sporty detail will seem like an alien element on them.

However, it is not necessary to limit yourself to the usual solutions. Knitted vests, cardigans, longsleeves and sweatshirts with polo collar are in fashion, so feel free to choose the option to your liking.

Such products look best in knitwear. Let things really resemble fancy variations of the classic polo. But in the choice of color, you do not need to limit yourself. Relevant as models in achromatic shades, and in pastel or deep, such as burgundy and dark blue. But be extremely careful when choosing products with prints. Floral or animalistic patterns can dissonant with a sporty cut. If you consider monochrome solutions boring, it is better to choose a variant in horizontal stripes.
